    Vx5 2-10 CDS Question

    Hi Guys,
It seems lots of you are in the market for VX5s, I had convinced myself that I wanted a 2-10x44 cds as I like the idea of an elevation turret without messing around with parallax adjustment, but looking at costs they are almost as much as the 3x15 anyone used both?
Looking for an informed opinion before I take the plunge....
    Thanks Dave.

Yeah, I had the 2-10 and have the 3-15. Awesome scopes. If I did it again I'd have just stuck with the 2-10. I convinced myself I wanted to do more target shooting with the rifle. Never happened. Unless you are pushing way out or struggling with eye sight 10 power is plenty

I pickwd the 2-10. If you check the specs you will see it has more elevation adjustment than the 3-15.
10* is plenty to get you accuracy beyond 600 and is more light efficient than *15. If I could afford a second vx5 it would also be a 2-10*

    Quadruple + deal?

Mine (2-10*44) has the zl2 turrets and illuminated reticle. Would love another one.

I’d be interested in a scope mate.

If the scope is going on a hunting rifle that you anticipate using at 0-300m most of the time then the 2-10 would be better.
The 2x magnification on the low end is excellent for close range shots, any animals shot under 50m you would benefit from 2x and the firedot reticle.
If you were taking most of your shots at 100-400m+ then I'd say go for the 3-15.

I really wish Leupold still did the firedot windplex reticle, it in the 2-10 would be awesome, unfortunately they dropped it when they went to the VX6hd.
