I am trying to decide between a VX6 HD or Z5 both 3-18x44. For now this it will be going on a 7mm08 but am working on a 7mm rem mag at the moment and would like to transfer it once thats complete. I have taken both home to trial at low light and struggled to find any difference on dusk. The Z5 lacks the elevation but I understand you can remove the zero stop so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that? I preferred the Z5 reticle (4W) being a bit finer but the VX6 felt more solid and has the two revs of elevation. Has anyone seen any reviews on the tracking of either of these?
Any advice would be appreciated.
You should try the HDVX5 I just sold my 2 Z5 and brought the VX5 and I love them glass seems as good but better elevation and finer cross hairs I brought firedot now I have 3 of them
