    VX6 TMOA Reticle

    Howdy,

    Whos using this reticle?

I have a VX6 (not HD version) with fine duplex that I am having a two turn zero lock fitted to the elevation turret. Was thinking about a reticle change for windage. For a little more than getting a single turn zero lock turret fitted for windage also I could change the reticle..or both.

Question is it worth the $$. The scope I got very cheap to start with so even if I drop $400 on turrets and reticle upgrade form the Leupold agent in Australia it would still be a circa $1800 scope with Zero Lock and handy reticle.

    For 7mm RM

    Cheers

    Smartie

I have the new vx6hd with TMOA illumination, it’s perfect in my opinion and the reticle is fully illuminated so doesn’t matter with how fine the reticle is as you can hit the illumination button in low light if you struggle to see the reticle and it’s great for long range gongs etc. I had windplex firedot before seams a waste of time with a firedot, never used it.

Entirely depends if you think you need the reticle.
As you have spent the money on the ZL turrets, I assume you are intending to use it for dialing on animals and/or paper, in which case yes you should get it.
Being able to estimate your misses shots and adjust accordingly is great, or to use hold offs for wind rather than dial.

I have it and really like the reticle, but I do use it or at least intend to!

It would be my choice of reticle if I was upgrading. Or should I say when I upgrade!

What does it cost to fit a 2 turn Zero lock to an existing VX6 3-18 scope?
