I've been enjoying looking at the way guns used to beso thought I'd post one that fits the bill.
This was my main hunting rifle for many years and despite having succumb to the practicalities of stainless synthetic, I still dust it off for a couple of outings each year. It is scary accurate with what ever you decide to shoot out of it (as I hear a lot of rifles in this caliber are). The action feels like it runs on ball bearings and is the smoothest in my safe by a long way. I'm currently running 270 gr pills at a tad under 2700 fps and given the general construction of the projectiles it's an emphatic slayer of game without too much 'splatter' (although the 235 grain Speers at 2900fps are a bit more ''). Also, for those that are wondering it's way nicer to shoot that my 30 cal. magnum shooting 200 grain bullets at 3020 fps.
Sako .375 H&H (well before the cost cutting started :-) )
Also, cheers all for the great pictures in this thread!
