    Walter model 1 22lr

Was asked by a relative to help sell his Walter Model 1 22 lr dual action - semi/ bolt action rifle this is a not a gun I’m familiar with in terms of what it would sell for I think he has high expectations but I’m not sure he’s on the right track price wise given the current environment out there for selling firearms.
Is anyone on here familiar with what they would sell for ?
It’s not mint, appeared to need a good coat of oil and a good clean but otherwise all there.
Would he be better to go to an Antique Arms assoc Auction to see what it’s really worth ?
    Any advice will be appreciated

Antique Arms Auction or Trade Me would be best (oh its a Walther by the way, not Walter), as for price, hard to say this are up and down at present, I would guess $600 but might be way off....best of luck........Darren

Well I picked a tidy one up at the last collectors auction a few weeks ago for $280 plus fee. This is the walnut version and has a very good Hawkins barrel and 3 magazines. Bidders were pretty active during the auction so I would say this is a fair representation on current value.
