I have a left hand sako 75 I rebarreled to 284 and put a mcM edge stock on it. Still a lot heavier than a T3, but the factory wood stock is over 42 oz wheras the McM is about 28 oz so just the stock change has trimmed 14 oz off.
The action and bottom metal is heavy, and the factory sako barrel profile is prob nearly 1 lb heavier than a T3 barrel.
putting a light weight stock on its going to cost you a $1000 so you can pick up a T3 for close to that price.
