Thread: Which way is up?

Hi all the forum scope experts.. Got a quick question.

The other night I was in the cave reassembling my latest project, and after putting the scope back on, I wanted to check it sat the same as my other 22 of the same make.

That's when I noticed that the turrets on the latest project sat 90 degrees rotational difference to the other 22. That is, the turret marked up was on top of the scope and the one that's marked left under the cap was on the right horizontal.

The original from the shop 22 has the turret marked left on the top of the scope, and the one marked up is on the left horizontal.

Which way is up? Do all scope turrets sit in the same planes? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
