I can understand the light & flat idea a little better now
One of my current thermal rifles is a rebarreled Kimber Hunter in 6 Creedmoor with 80 TTSX at 3400 fps
Very happy with its performance on 4 deer so far, 2 @ 169, 1 @ 336 & 1 @ 353 yards, all point & shoot
Quiet with no recoil, can easily see the result in the scope, very happy
Just got the 69 Hammer Absolute Hunters going at 3845 fps. looking forward to see how those even flatter laser beams perform

I fried a 22.250 un-supressed barrel and always enjoyed it compared to the same in 308 so I guess its relative, Still ended up with hearing loss though.

I'd go for a 22Creedmoor if it were me but if you have everything setup for 22-250 already then that'd be the easier option.
Either option would be sweet for a varmint rifle as stated barrel life is the downside but the performance is rather impressive from the quick high BC bullets.
Do a bit of research into barrel twist if using ELD-Ms, the yanks have had issues with ELD-Ms exploding if over spun.

If you do get around to selling you 22-250 I am currently in the market. I have gone down the fast twist rate rabbit hole (that's how I got on this thread) but to be honest all I want to do is smash rabbits and Fallow deer so not so critical to get the heavier pills flying true and think I will get away with the 50-55 grainers.
@andyanimal31 how did ya get on with this? Currently trying to decide between 1/8 twist 22-250 or 22 creedmoor

Had my 22-250AI out to 1000m on gongs today. 88gr ELD's still not blowing up. Makes a nice ring but doesn't swing the plate much!
Brads. what are we building mate? I've got 22250 22250 ackley and 22CM reamers.
The 22 Creed owns the 22250, while the 22250 Ackley will own the Creedmore.
22 ARC makes more sense.
Howa Mini or better still M7 if you want the long pills, the latter be a bit harder to do as you'll need to cannibalise a .223 donor and slap a different mag box in.
22arc is not boxing in the same category as 22-250AI…
I got a 22 250AI 12T howa that im looking to move on, migth fit well with someone on this thread, even if to rebarrel to 8t
