any chance of a photo? I use crc/wd40 and dont try all that hard and theres nothing in the year or more that hasnt rubbed off yet on mine

Disclaimer they are digital bathroom scales so could well be wrong will dig out the old trusty’s to see if they tell the same story, lovely little rifles though readily available in .308

sorry @Bill999 but I have already cleaned it off . It looked like a group of small fine scratches in the finish that had gone brown rust colour but a bit of polish took them off .

that mirrors my experience too crc and a wipe took mine off
I get that on most of my rifles bar the ones with a chrome finish (ruger and tikka bolt handles)
