well I am happy with my tikka bushy . Factory barrel with carbon stock , cut back to 16" , with supressor and vx5 on board around 3.5 kg ish .
Worth noting that a carbon barrel isn't neccesarily lighter than the factory option in the lite contour either . If you are simply looking at the carbon barrel for weight savings I don't think you will find it actually saves much - if any - over the factory offering . The real advantage to carbon barrels is weight saving over a HEAVY barrel and more repeatability when shooting strings and the barrel starts to heat up .
Not worth the extra $$ if just chasing weight reduction ....
I built my tikka with everything done , inc titanium bolt handle , supressor and barrel chop , top rail , along with carbon stock for around or slightly less than the carbon tikka that started this thread . That said I did not flute the bolt (less gaps for the bush to find it's way in to the action I reckon - in theory) That includes a spare 5 round mag .
If you want a short barreled tikka just build one @MB .

Just weighed my model 7 it’s bang on 3 kg less the bolt which I cant weigh as it’s up the farm in total it cost me $2010 less the scope that’s rifle talley rings timney trigger and a dpt mk11 magnum can, deducting the weight of the can and scope according to published weights it’s 2.2kg including the rings anyone no what a bolt weighs? 300grams? Should shave another 400grams with the new carbon stock
Disclaimer they are digital bathroom scales so could well be wrong will dig out the old trusty’s to see if they tell the same story, lovely little rifles though readily available in .308
Seems weird that they don't . Steve Rinella being left handed is probably the reason Weatherby do their special in left hand https://weatherbyfirearms.com/weathe...y-magnum-26in/
Pack out heavy

I use my Howa as my boat gun, it gets sprayed with salt water and it's not rusty.
Took my Sako to Fiordland for 10 days, camped meters from the sea, pissed down with rain etc it didn't rust either.
Dunno what you rusty s/s rifle owners are doing to them myself .
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
yeah well...build a lightweight stock...bit of fluting here n there.... some light mounts..... sensible scope and your bill would still leave enough from the 3.5k for a fly in trip to use the jolly thing to fill freezer ....
or not....his $$$$$
