What should I rechamber my tikka t3 300 wsm into?

Hey guys, have a tikka t3 300 wsm that need to be rebarreled. I had a look down the bore and there is pitting in the chamber. Was going to rebarrel it but already use a 7mm08 and 300 win mag as my main hunting rifles. Any ideas on what too rechamber it to? Cheers

    Either go bigger or smaller:
6.5 Prc as said above or 338wsm or 35wsm.

Out of curiosity how many rounds did you get outof the barrel? Hot loads or fairly mild?

Was thinking 30 Nosler, but the WSM is such a good calibre. I would just keep it

first question is, does it effect the accuracy because my 222 had a ring bulge in it but still shot .25

It’s apparently only fired 250 rounds as I only bought it a month or so ago and I have done load development and it shoots under .5moa with the 178 eldx it still shoots good

I'd sell the 300WM and just get another 300WSM barrel, 1/9 twist, norma brass, rl26 and 215 bergers.....but thats just me, you may have other thoughts

If it truly shoots under 1 MOA and is stable after a string and good on cold clean bore then keep using it as is.

It's quite expensive changing cartridges, with new barrel, bedding job, dies, brass, projectile stocks, different powders, some gear like shell holders, shoulder and bullet guages could be reusable. plus reworking loads for an unfamiliar case like the 6.5 PRC. I'd guess you'd be up for $500 min plus $1200 for the barrel and bedding.

I'd see what pops up second hand while just using it as it is
Run as hot a load as you like thru it and clean it when you feel like it

If it’s still shooting 0.5 moa then can’t see any need to change anything

    6.5 prc.

Lots of people condemn it as a fad calibre, and just market9ng etc.

To my eye it's a neat little 6.5, offering excellent ballistics.
