    What is this sling?

Hey. My brother bought this sling for me a fair few years ago now and I never used it. Can anyone ID it and advise how it is supposed to be used?

If I remember right it was carried in front and was supposed to be a quick option for shooting from a carry position

Do you use one? I've never considered wearing a rifle like that.

Pretty sure the hole at the end goes over you stock but still joins onto the sling stud. You carry the rifle upright and horizontal. The straps go up either of the butt to hold it upright. To fire you push the rifle forward and up. The sling slips backwards off the stock

cobber of mine uses one in very heavy cover (like crawling height stuff), and for pushing through scrubby shit and likes it as you can make a quick shot (but the BAR it was on is goneburger)

It is a casting sling made to prevent / break fishermen of the abhorrent habit of winding their reel with the right hand
