    What thread for suppressor

    Hi all
I will be grabbing a new DPT Mk2 Overbarrel suppressor for my Model 7, I want to use it on two different rifles, one will be chopped back 95mm from muzzle (to retain OAL of factory) the other rifle will be left at standard length with the muzzle threaded. The barrel starts at 13.8mm (for non chopped rifle) and is 14.3mm where I intend to chop the other rifle.
All I know about threads is lefty loosey righty tighty... What size threaded suppressor should I order from the DPT site?
    Cheers

1/2" 28 TPI or 1/2" 20 TPI either is okay, thread root diameter for 1/2" 28 should be slightly bigger leaving more meat between the bore and the thread root. DPT will tell you anyway.
Timmay, DPT and Klhari like this.
Just going to take a look around the next bend...

1/2-20 or 1/2-28 would be ideal and very common threads.

There's no mail order form needed for Suppressors!
I've recently bought straight from DPT.
You'll get a better fitting rear Bush by buying straight from them. Just sent them an e mail.

Unfortunately a police mail order form is now required for "silencers" and a firearms license is required to own one.

Thanks for the help everyone, I grabbed one from the local here today. I ended up with 1/2 20 as that's what they had on hand.

Answer is:biggest thread possible. While there's plenty of .30 cals with 1/2" threads, I prefer a 14mm or better. But as stated above 1/2x28 leaves a bit more meat at the root of the thread. 1/2x20 should be reserved for .22lr/mag only IMO.
Bigger thread is always better but you cant do a 14mm thread on a 14.3mm barrel and have enough for the suppressor to pull up on to. 14mm thread requires a barrel of at least 15mm.
