Curious as to what one would be worth?
I will possibly be gaining a bolt that I dont need (308 bolt face)

Cheers,
Have heard of $600 being paid for replacement Tikka bolt. I’d rather buy a whole rifle.
Yep I got told 600 when I was looking about 6 years ago, sold rifle dirt cheap and then found bolt in the long grass 2 weeks later.....
There was a couple a while ago and started off at 600 and sat for a while, went to 500. Not sure if it sold for that.
Considering whole rifles can be brought for 900-1100 its not really worth it for most people over 500.
Cheers all, wasn't sure what i would be working with
The last two T3 bolts I sold went for $450 and $400

How would you come to acquire a bolt without the rifle ?
some dreamer got a REM700 bolt on Tardme for $5 - 600, its not stainless and bolt face looks bit dodgey.
Wouldnt these advertsmostly be a sting to find whoever stole their rifle ?
I think youd need a pretty convincing story like showing the rifle run over by a quad bike to show it was a legit offer.
Where do spare bolts come from ?
My four rifles were stolen when I was overseas. They ripped the security rack out of the wall but none of the rifles had their bolts in them.
So I was left with a Howa 1500 bolt, a Tikka M55 bolt, and 2x T3 bolts.
There was no 'undercover sting' operation. I just asked the purchaser to show me their firearms license and a photo of the rifle they will be using it in. The guy who brought the Tikka M55 was a gunsmith who brought it not for a particular rifle but as a spare... in case he has a client that needs one (or so he said...maybe it was HIM who stole my rifles!!)![]()

the only reason i could have a spare bolt as im looking at buying a rifle but selling the bolt, barrel, etc as i need the action. I'd reduce costs and use one of the few Tikka bolts that i already own for the new build.
Hope that makes sense
