    Why bother with a millitary mauser if you want a shooter, especially on a budget?

    Why not a mauser clone, by the likes of BSA or Brno, or even Husqvarna? Can be had under $1200. Claw extractors, solid build, all steel, and on par with the best mausers functionality wise.

    Unless you really want a millitary gun?

    I was just thinking of getting something full wood. Have my hunting rifles so wanted something cheap as I won't use it much.

    Pretty much just wanting a mil surp gun.

    K98 iron sights and actually mausers in general (Ive got to include the Swedes) Ive got to say, suck. Although some people may disagree with me.
    A mismatching numbers full stock No 4 would probably tick more of the boxes overall.
    Yes, irons or repro scope mount for a zf scope.

    My perception is that 303 are inaccurate and Mauser are really good.
