Wouldn't mind a really nice 22 bolt action, Anschutz, Browning T bolt, Sako Finnfire. What others are worth consideration, thoughts ?

Have a finnfire here mate your welcome to borrow it for a play.
I had a play with the t bolt and yuck.
Mates got a nice Brno with hand made stock, not cheap I think it's a 452 zkn? Knowing him it will be good, I've got one of his stocks on my mod2. PM me if you need info
weihrauch make a nice 22. hw66.
big boy gun tho, they are reasonably heavy so make for a nice off hand shooter. no good for an 11yo or a girl.

Pre 1967 Brno model 2. I look out for these and if the stock is not very good restock in fancy walnut , remove sights, reblue, modify Ruger rings to fit. Beautiful.
Yeah I like the fit of the T bolt, pity Brownings always have poo triggers, will give ya a holla Dunks as wouldn't mind catching up, I like that new toys of yours it's real purtty
Yeah very nice, crickey you're right about the weight 3 kg plus
Brought a ruger americam preditor green stock shootsgreat with power point very happy:)
Depends on what you mean by "Nice".
CZ , Anshutz and Weirauch / Krico come to mind straight away, but it will all come down to your budget and your preferences. I really like a CZ in full wooded mannlicher style stocks, but that may not be what floats your boat. As far as performance goes, the four I mentioned first would be good starters.
I like the early pre 68 Brno's. I have a 1950 Model 1 and 1959 581 Auto. Been looking for an early model mint Brno Model 5 for years. Then, when visiting a local in the course of my job I came across a chap who had two of them. Offered him $1,200 for one and was turned down flat.
I'm a bit of a 22 slut I've got a early Anshutz 1416 in mint cond excellent shooter has that centerfire feel to it , early model 1960's T-BOLT this rifle is my favorite smooth glass like action and a bloody tack driver- light too definitely better than a 2015 tikka Finnfire 22
and a Norinco EM- 322 this has been bedded and would give any dedicated target rifle a run for its money.
Personally out of the 22's available atm I'd get a new Anshutz or keep an eye out for a 2ND hand kimber or old Belgium made T - Bolt .
OR THIS these are quite rare in this condition

That Anschutz will certainly shoot (simply because it's an Anschutz) but those ugly rotating safeties do them no justice.
My rimfire safe queen, though it does get shot a bit at times. A Model 1 Brno.

That's a lovely Brno there ,yes that Anschutz would definitely shoot well , it has the match 54 action and trigger I would say it's of 1950's manufacture.
Coopers are nice...
Mmmmm, love me some Brnos!

My 1948 Brno model 1 de luxe that my grandfather bought brand new and my CZ 452 that shoots 1 hole 10 shot groups at 50m with CCI standard target ammo.
Just keep a look out for a second hand Annie the 54 actioned one , or a old Sako P94S Finnfire , or if they are too dear just get a CZ , and not the 455 swap barrel model .
You can tell the 54s , as they have a different bolt , if in doubt , just google the Annie number .

Kimber or cooper or The old sako.
Also , maybe wait for the new Lithgow models to come out , looks like a wood stock & black metal options soon ? , maybe ? , also threaded
Check out trade me listing 954995237 This Brno .22 is a 452 but has a hand made stock but the same guy that has done mine, see the picture of mine in this thread. This has fired 7200 rounds all documented, mostly indoor range, always cleaned. This is a nice rifle.Listing #: 954995237
I've got a CZ452 American in 22magnum for sale. I'm based in Palmy too. Look it up on TM under expired listings - #946877838. I'm out of town tomorrow morning for the next 2 weeks so haven't relisted it. Flick me a PM if interested.
CZ/Brno is the bees knees, for the price they are pretty accurate and a nice looking well built rifle. I love mt American 452, well both of them. CZ 452s have a cult follow in the States.
Your not wrong, I see them selling for good money, the 455 is not as well liked, I have a 452 in .17 HRM, that I am going to sell, as prefer the 453 lux in .22 mag, and now I have a CZ .17 hornet I will never use the HRM again.
I have been looking at the 455 Canadian edition, might get one of them in a .22
Cooper makes a real nice rimfire.
It worries some people, personally I couldn't care.
Probably a good thing as I'm saving for a 338
If anyone has an Anshutz with a scruffy stock, this may help you
ANSCHUTZ | Trade Me
Some nice looking bits of wood there
I have a cz 452 lux. accurate and nice to look at.
Whats wrong with the 455 , most prefer the thread in barrel/action ie the old Brno/CZ models is 452 and older , over the new 455 slip in barrel
If you are considering older rifles then the BSA Century magazine version is very accurate. Also, a thinned down BSA target rifle (12/15 type) if a single shot is OK.
