    What's the thread?

    My brother is wanting to get a @DPT can fitted to his rifle and has left me in charge of getting it sorted while he's overseas.

    Instead of having to send the whole rife up, I'll try and figure out what the thread is. I've attached a few photos that might help?

    Cheers,
    Pop Shot

    Looks too fine for 1/2-20 and if those calipers are correct then its more than likely 13x1

    My 14x1 thread protector kinda screwed on the thread but was too loose. Anyone in Palmy have a 13x1 thread cap I can try?

    Top photo counts out to ~14 threads per 15.25mm = ~23 threads per 25.4mm
    Set your vernier to 12.7mm and count the threads and x by 2.

    I got 13 threads per 12.7mm. The last few mm is mainly the shoulder.

    Not sure what this means?

    Nah, everyone's still locked in the Imperial world
    With a very wee dash of eye-ometer error on behalf of the operator of the verniers I too would say the thread is as already suggested per DPT's post 13x1

    1mm pitch is 12.7 threads per 12.7mm length, so I think you are pretty spot on for 13x1

    @DPT @Friwi

    Have confirmed the thread is indeed m13x1. Your website doesn't list you guys using this thread pattern. Am I outer luck? Or are you able to manufacture a one off with this thread?
