Thread: Whats the value of this crossman pistol?

Have the chance to purchase this crossman 38c .22 air pistol but he wants me to make an offer, but to be fair i dont really desire air guns. Have no idea what it would be worth..
Comes in original box and pistol is in immaculate condition and has 2 barrels of different lengths.
I thought some of you on here mite have some knowledge.

The photo doesn't do it justice, they're grubby finger prints which I've since wiped off.

$100 to a collector...that's a tidy package.

I had one very similar many years ago accurate - severely underpowered and expensive to run - but fun yeah --not worth a lot sorry they can be temperamental

Yeah totally, i have had newer plastic shitters and got sick of having problems with them. Plus they're only fun for 5min.
This one does work flawlessly but i do know what your saying for sure.

would not mind a good Webley Senior they are nice

Had one years ago a .22 was cheaper to shoot.
But good fun and the old ladies chooks didn't venture over to the house.

Theres this one plus someone else selling 2 others the same on tm. Whether they sell is another thing.

I see its on trademe now, The model 38 had a few variant's with the C and T models but also a few changes over time. The first model with the steel rear sight assembly is the most valuable of the lot. All of the 38's were considerably better made and shot better than the cheaper .357 version which was mainly made to make reloading faster with a removable "cylinder".

I have a bunch of 38's here and love em, especially in .22

There has been a few on Trade me not selling for years so I'm assuming they are too higher priced. I sold one for parts a while back for $150

C version is the short barrel and T is the (Target) longer barrel

Since you have both there could be better value for a collector.

Ive listed it on trademe on his behalf as its no use to me. He had seen the few on there so he made a price up cheaper than the rest. Time will tell i guess.
Its in great condition which i think puts me off even more

I bought a C version in 1979, cost me $80, quite a cost back then.
