Parker Hale Safari 243.
A mates interested in it, and I’ve no clue what it’s worth
I’ve owned it for 30 years, it’s been a safe queen for the last 6-7
Good barrel, woodworks pretty good.
2-7 Weaver in Tikka rings.
Comes with a Waitaki can.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
its GOT TO BE worth $800-1000 with can and scope included...provided of course it will group close to inch CONSISTANTLY....
bare rifle $500-600
given some love it will be a lovely rifle again...

the $700 bare rifle you can buy new...and the $1000 new combination with scope and $1200 with suppressor and scope...... makes 2nd hand price less depending on how good the components are....
if YOU happy with $600....thats fair and good.
Was at GC and shooters supplies today.
Two parker hale safari's in 308 at GC. One with a tidy barrel and no scope but weather worn. Say its had a re barrel. Either 350 or 400. Other one had a crap set of mounts and budget scope but barrel not as good for 450.
Shooters supplies had two Midlands (like a parker hale.but not) and a parker hale. Looked tidy enough but didnt get them off the rack for a look. Think one was a 3006. Cant remember what the others were. All had scopes and 750, 800 and 850.
Shop prices obviously.
Funny thing is the 2 at GC had their safety missing so I reckon from the same seller.
$500 flat out I reckon.
If it was mine, and he was a good mate, I'd be letting him have it for $500. A mate's, a mate. And good to give another keen hunter the opportunity to hunt with a decent rifle.
Ok Gonzo said he’ll pass.
I’ll post it on the for sale thread
Cheers guys
