Thread: Where to buy

Hi guys. Just got my FAL and looking to stock the safe. Certainly will be shopping on the forum, but as far as a gun shop goes, where do you recommend? Where I live I'd be just as happy shopping in Hamilton or Auckland. Ideally a smaller family/locally owned outfit with good advice and atmosphere?

a different way of looking at this - small local can also mean paying more for same thing on special at larger retail- make up your mind as to what you want and then shop around - okay many younger sales people at larger chains are just that sales people but the price well that has to be considered - you need to spend a bit to get started hunting and every bit saved - shop around and haggle - but have your mind made up first

This, but my local matched a price when I asked (less the courier fee I would have had to pay otherwise) so it never hurts to ask

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

My 1st choice (GC Wairau), since they are the closest one to me,
the salesman is super friendly and went above and beyond when I had any issues or questions.
Yes, they have a slightly higher margin than the rest but I don't mind.

I will go without rather than set foot in one of those..... Im a supporter of the big green stores LOL but actually bought new off gunworks as Amanda is awesome to deal with and did good deal on price plus the suppressor was done in house so to speak so I knew it would be right.
