If I wanted to buy a new T3x, where would be the best place to go? Price seems the same everywhere. I'd want the barrel shortened and threaded. Hunting & Fishing seem to get a lot of flak on the forum, but my two local stores seem OK.

Where are ya mate
If you are happy with the service you are getting from your local shop buy from them .
Those guns are new on the market and as such there is few if any big deals to be had .
Price are going up on many things . Have seen 20% price increases on some things coming in .
Sometimes the importer has brought a pile of of a product when the $$ was good and now when they have had to buy new stock in the $$ is fairly poor there is going to be a sharp price increase .
Other times your shop may not have purchased enough of something to get a deal from the importers . Yes shops get deals as well but they have to commit to some large numbers to do so . Some shops can do those deals some cant as they dont do enough volume to make the amount required
I had a 300wsm t3x in my hands this week. The stock shape seems a little bit better than the old one. But other than that nothing exceptionally new and revolutionary. The old tikka is still a very good gun, and I guess that beretta nz would be happy to get rid of their old stock.
The t3x seem the same price across the board from all the major dealers , prob due to the new release no ones under cutting anyone at the moment. Good chance you get a t3 for a cheaper price as they get rid of old stock, currantly 100 dollars cheaper but you maybe able to banter a better price, just depends if you think the extra dollars is worth it in the new model
If its anything like the "old" t3 you could always put it on trademe for twice what its worth anyhow. Thats how it works isnt it?
just buy one from whangarei
"Old" T3s at reloaders for $1100 at the moment, that's pretty good value, except for some reason (probably because they are f**king awesome..) the 270win is still $1349
Contact me for reloading components, brass, projectiles, powder, primers, etc

Re: T3 vs T3x - not that bothered, but most places seem to have a price difference of only $100.
Pretty much decided on 6.5mm.
