    Who brings in Norinco ?

We can get the Norinco 22 bolt action copies of Brunos , why are we not getting the chinese copies of the Ithaca 37 pumpguns that the Canadians are getting ?

Probably because no one wants to order the minimum number due to the size of the nz market.

I looked into importing some norinco ar15's and the minimum number needed, without getting into bribe territory, was more than I wanted to take the risk on for the nz market ESP when a certain large retail chain already has them and would probably just match any price I did.
The same numbers of .22's wouldn't seem like a risk

I would rather not say, as it seems to vary depending on who and when you do your dealing with so I wouldn't want to put anyone off trying.

Bribes would change that, but that's not a path that's open to me even though a NZ dealer who buys from them is very open about the fact he pays bribes to make stuff happen over there. Maybe it's worth talking to him to see if he could add some to his next order

I think you may have taken his words far too seriously.

My wife lived in China for 6 years, amongst the chinese as a chinese (ie in chinese only areas), only speaking chinese, (in fact in some places she went to they had never seen a non-chinese). Bribes are not "un-usual" practice but almost the norm especially to "stay out of sight" from the Police as how she was living was illegal/strongly dis-couraged then (yes she's a crazy, commie so and so).

I spent 9 months in Sichuan province, ended up living not far from a series of missile silos, back handers are a way of life for a white boy. But yeah, bring on the MP5 clones!

They also make clones of the German MP5s , and the thing you notice straight away is they are finished with a dull parkerised finish , and not the std HK black paint .

Maybe, but bribes are a way of life in China so it's VERY believable.
I spend I lot of time dealing with Chinese factory's, in China,
And have long given up keeping track of the amount of times that it has been hinted or even outright said that a bribe would help

I'd also buy an expensive not-norinco Mp5 clone. Someone make this possible, instead. Or a Hk33K clone.

I'd think it is more like bribing a Chinese official to get a boat load of Norinco's out of China dirt cheap.

Can you buy anything in single serving ex China?
