Personally I don't give much of a damn for old world engineering in a working gun. What I want is a rugged stable platform. I do like nice bits of walnut. My mate has a nice little Sako 75 carbine in a custom walnut stock, which the prick won't give to me.

There's nothing good about a Howa stock, they're awful things.

The first time I touched one(on the rack in the shop) I squeezed the forend toward the barrel as you do and burst out laughing. Had to apologize as there were some other customers around.

Quite a few funky projects for F/TR or F-Open rifles based on Savage Stevens actions.

This one in particular : http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek075.html

Did he ever do the unthinkable trade for his Sako?

Theres a lot of support for Tikka now, I'd build a custom gun off one of them

sounds alot like you are bored Bevis.

buying into a shitter is never a good idea, 500 + stock + nice glass +enevitably new rings/bases to match becomes a not cheep rifle

Kimber make nice rifles, selling the sako to get a kimber is probably acceptable

If your Sako was made after 1995 a straight swap would be in order
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out
