    Whos loving their howa mini

Took me a while but i finally got one because the grendel round interested me and it looked like the best option to try it out. Mines been a work in progress and i think ive got it where i want it. Going to try it out in a couple of hours in its final form..

Took me a bit to like it too, to the point of ordering something different. Kept shooting it in the meantime and have grown to like it. I'm not a great shot but pretty happy with the way it shoots

You guys running the heavy or standard barrel? I like my mini but i find the standard barrel heats up fast and starts to throw them after 3-4 rounds. Otherwise can get easy sub moa 3 shot group. Have head shot a lot of goats with mine nice and light to carry. Will be getting a flush mag one day tho as that mag is a bitch when slung over ya back.

Ive just put some bottom metal on mine its a std stainless barrel with a mae suppressor which probably helps soak up the heat. It will do 1/2" no problems i think it would do better with a better shooter behind it. Scope lets it down its a budget weaver 3x9 that came on another package i got. 4x12 or 4x16 would be perfect for it i think

I have just mated a heavy action 1/8 twist with composite chassis. Fitted Vortex diamondback tactical 4-12x40 scope and dpt over barrel can. It shoots Belmont 55 grain very well, throws BM 62 grain outside moa and stacks holes sub moa using BM 77 grain. It’ll do me.

I've owned and hunted with two and shot two loaners hunting. They are accurate little rifles for shooting groups but for some reason I could never shoot well with one on the hill - missed many shots that I'd normally have made with other rifles. A professional hunter I've discussed them with found the same thing. Neither of us could identify "what" it was. Good little rifles just reporting my experience!

Was underwelmed with mine, standard barrel standard stock. Would string a couple sub moa and then random flyer.
Have since fitted in the EXCL and now will do 5 shot groups sub moa. Neck shot a few goats, Dropped a Fellow Spiker, and couple of weeks ago dropped Red 2nd year Spiker on the spot. Now have fallen back in love with it!

i think its the bottom plastic. You cant tighten it up properly as it squashes the plastic instead

Heavy barrel in 223, DPT can, Vortex diamondback VMR1 reticle on shitty rings. Original stock. Shoots 77gr Belmont at 0.6MOA and has won a couple of NZDA comps. Shooting steel at over 900 yds with it. Its nice, just heavy.

Have a pencil barrel one. Shoots well with many different loads. Recently put it in an XCL chassis and have it away getting trimmed back to 14.5". Want it to roughly mimic the lightweight AR hunting build I used to have.

Just insert some tight fit washers into the bottom plastic holes and tighten the screws down onto those. Problem solved.

Do not over tighten the screws. Which many do. Myself included...
