    Who's running RRA LAR-8's?

    Hey team,

who out there are running the RRA LAR-8's....I am the proud owner of a Varmint 26" now and are planning a few changes, so after ideas, suggestions from those who have been there done that, on barrel length, handrail options, suppression pointers/issues and glass options..

    Cheers all

I had a 20" Predator LAR 8. Man was that thing heavy! Too much weight for me to carry round for any period of time and too expensive for
a range toy, so I sold it and got an AR15.

    Don't hold back guys.....hahaha

No cheers, you have all hit the nail on the head, I intend to remove 6" at the least but might go to 18" once I have talked it over with the guys at HRE, I have a PRI .936 low pro gas block enroute from from the states as we speak, also going to have the barrel fluted.......which leads me into the next issue the "handguard" replacement...Check I am waiting cover the gas block and might look at getting one custom made....next is a supressor again HRE....
not sure about the stock as yet it has a Operator A2 Stock on at the moment (I'm still over seas working due home middle of the month so will make a de on that then) but I might put a SERVO style I see a lot with Magpul PRS but they look heavy....
    Versa pod enroute as well....
Have a Nightforce mount 20 MOA on the way, and am looking at either the Vortex Viper PST SFP 6x24-50 or Leupold LR T M5 Mark 4 Rifle Scope 8.5-25X 50 TMR 30mm Illum Reticle -----TBC------
after all that she will be off to GreyStone down south for a Cerakote coating in OD green......

Good to hear someone pimping out a AR10 and joining the Gang!

I'll be buying one myself Rock River Arms: RRA LAR-8 Standard Operator
get some handloads developed for it, nightforce 3-15x50....
flute the barrel, supress it,remove front sight and get a adjustable gas block popped on.

I'm thinking I'll keep it at 20" but might go down to 18" at a later date...

You gotta admit its LOTS of fun pimping them out aye!

yea after having a ar15, a 308 version would be a step in the right direction for hunting.

You mean one like this, it's a heavy bit of kit but I enjoy it.
