    Who's used a Kaimai suppressor?

I've used Gunworks and DPT suppressors a lot. Got a new rifle being put together by Dean Maisey. He deals exclusively in Kaimai ones but I've got no experience with them.

They're an extra 100 schmeckles and aren't modular like the DPT's. Want quieter? Add another baffle. Want lighter? Take away a baffle... Can't do that with a Kaimai. They're heavier (375-398gm vs 325gm for a DPT) too. Or if I were to get a Gunworks suppressor, I could literally throw it at them if there's a problem, because I drive past them every day.

What's the Kaimai got going for it to justify the extra weight, cost, non-modular design, and inability to easily harrass the folks who made it? They're not in the Rod & Rifle 2017 shootout.

Pretty sure they are, labelled as Silenz. I stand to be corrected tho'. Stick to what you know best, I'd say.

You're right, they are. They didn't fare too well either! I wonder if the design has been updated since then.

I've had a brief play with kaimai suppressor. It was well.made and seemed as quiet as my hardy gen 4.

I'd still get a DPT, because weight, cost and modularity. Also DPT have a great reputation for looking after customers.

I've got a blackout supressor from dean (on the kaimai rifle)

Works well. I think it has something tougher for the brake so it lasts longer. Dean had a good write up somewhere on it.

Maybe see if he can put one on to see how balanced the rifle is.

I've only had a gunworks can before so dont have much other experience, just happy with the kaimai so far.

What rifle are you getting built?
