    This is why you don't load a 300BLK into a 5.56 AR

Just because you can doesn't mean you should lol (but it was an accidental load).

    Big badder boom

I'm surprised it was able to chamber. It'll buff right out though.

Hmmm they do look quite different to one another side by side in the Mag, Did they just load on top without checking the bottom one or just forget which upper they had connected.

I'm genuinely impressed there was enough clearance to chamber without plenty of bolt assist!

I'm hoping the Firer is OK - Guess they won't make that mistake without checking at least 10 times next time before they pull the trigger...

Probably got a BO mixed in with the 5.56 and didn't notice it going into the mag. I do wonder if he hammered it into battery with the FA. I would have thought the .30 cal would get squished in the throat before it would go into battery. I've never tried it.

Says 2 were shooting on the same table, one might have rolled over or something maybe. There's a good comment saying that if the projectiles weren't tight in the casing the force of the bolt closing may have pushed it back just enough. Makes sense I guess.... I'd rather not try it though!

Recently witnessed a gun noob load and fire a 30/30 in an MLE. We had been shooting it with a couple of Winchester 94's and let him burn up the last handful of .303, which had a stray 3030 among them. Fired fine. But we were try to figure out Wtf happened to that .303 round. Till we looked at the head stamp.

My blk loads fit in a 556 chamber, I used this fact as justification to import a large pile of different coloured mags so now only use certain mags for certain calibers. The furniture on the uppers match the mags.

If anyone can fuck something up,it's going to be me so I'm trying to make it as hard as posable

Wow Res... What Grain projectile and design? was it a 110 -120 Supersonic projectile or a big fat 230ish Sub. I guess I'm hoping the sub might have had some issues fitting in there.

Really good to know... and as You say take steps... to avoid the cluster-fuck!!!

I only tried the one load I had loaded at the time I first saw a pic of this in some forum or other-so dropped a round into a camber, and as it looked like the bolt would close (I didn't try) I took a photo and went to my AO.
As much because I wanted mags as anything else-but there are plenty of these story's out there now so beetle safe than sorry.

Hmmm. I need a "deactivated" AR with some character that can sit on my lounge room wall. Anyone have a spare blackout round and about 30ft of string?
