Thread: will a remington barrel fit a tikka

Tikka and Remington are 16 TPI . 20 TPI is savage and browning a-bolt I think.
The Remington barrel thread can be recut to go down to the tikka thread.the thread is longer on a tikka. also the chamber on Remington might have to be cut and push forward a little bit.

So yes it can be done, but you need the gunsmith with the lathe , the reamer and gauges and the experience.
