thanks for that, I set up a usa post box through the post office and ordered one.

They will ship direct no worries - you are probably better off doing it direct as a lot of those reshipper post box address are allergic to anything gun related.

If by post office you mean YouShop you would need to be extremely lucky for your "gun part" to get through. They appear to open every parcel and when they open yours they will immediately evacuate the premises. The last person leaving will send you an email saying they will not forward your parcel on to NZ and how would you like them to dispose of it? You then send them an email asking why and after a suitable delay they tell you your parcel is deemed dangerous goods. You then ask what do they mean by dangerous goods and after a suitable delay they come back saying the parcel contains a firearm part. Sorry to break this to you. I even had them give me the run around for a parcel that absolutely had no relationship to firearms full stop. Wankers. If you haven't used YouShop in this instance please ignore this rant.
