    Winchester 333/555 Good or crap?

    Hi all,

I have some failures to feed in my 10/22 with this stuff, maybe the odd misfire too.

IS this stuff any good at all or are Winchester just having a laugh?

Always worked in the magtec, come to think of it, everything had worked in it except remington ammo.

It wasn't too accurate though unlike the winchester in the 50round boxs

Power Point has always run, almost flawlessly and accurately in my gun, only failing if the guns a but gummed up i think

Not as good as Power Point, but better than the bulk Federal .22. I ended up with 26 duds out of the box I had.

I buy it when taking the mates kids shooting 555 disappears fast in a 10/22 with the kids plinking on steel targets
its not the most accurate but plenty good enough for plinking or blowing possums away has the odd misfire say 2 per 555 box but you turn it around and try again and it goes

bets the federal bulk box hands down but

Yes Power Point is the best.

    but $100 a brick.

The heavier PowerPoint $120 a brick.

    I got about 1000 555.

Then got a case of it cheap as chips, oh well if its complete crap itll be a giggle at the range and keep the brick and a half of power point for actual hunting.

Federal worked perfect in my marlin, only problem was the projectiles were bloody near a solid, they opened so little

From what I can understand this was a BAD batch of PowerPoint made in the states not Australia and sold in bulk packs to get rid of it

This is only what I have herd from a couple of sources

my kids are half way through their second box of 555 with their bolt actions and zero duds.
i have to admit the more expensive winchester subs and high velocity seems to be more accurate at longer ranges, but for general plinking i would get another box of 555 for $45, its a bargin.

Im inclined to believe that too as American power point is lighter. But there seems to be a shit load of this ammo about
