I'll stop being a tight arse and buy the Timney trigger.
Playing with trigger springs too much worries me as I'm no gunsmith and don't want to risk causing an accidental discharge over $300. I don't plan on selling this rifle (at least until hunting rifles are confiscated) so may as well spend the money.
if you have a gunsmith reasonably local, it may be worth asking them if they can do a trigger job to lighten the trigger pull ? don't get me wrong the Timney is good but it could be worth asking at the very least ?

Yep, and should cost less than a Timney. Got nothing against Timney triggers though. Great product.
