One of the the best lever action 22s out there, should be legal if mag tube is modified to 10 (I was one of the Police approved Gunsmiths), as for value I would guess 1200 - 1600 depending on condition.
Yep that sounds about right. Had a pair of them in 22LR and 22WMR - beautiful little levers. Mint ones will be over 2k within 2-3 years I'm guessing.
I see the centrefire Winny 94s in 30-30 etc are now frequently $1500-2500 depending on condition and model collectability - Trappers etc..
One at the Dunedin swap meet today, looked very nice (I didn't pick it up). Hadn't sold at $1200 when I left . . .
I have one in .22mag. Original box and receipt plus the box of ammo that was bought with it. It was like new, until one day, i slipped and fell over while carrying it. Dont know what they are worth but I would not easily part with mine. Its a wee gem of a rifle
I have been after one for a while! Have yet to see one for sale. I would have snapped the one up at the dunedin show if I was there! Anyone know if the guy selling it is on here?
Pretty much my favourite 22. I have a mint new boxed Boy Scout version I picked up at auction for 700 around 8 years ago
Any 94s are going up strongly. Would actually make good fiscal investments - plus the fun you have with them. Alot better than bank interest!
I'd be happy to pick up another 9422 or two and hold them for few years.
Look at the nz price on this 2020 winchester 94 - miroku made one:

A guy paid $1600 for my 94/22 Magnum 5 years ago.
He was prepared to pay "whatever it took" since it was a Carbine version and in his words quite rare.
"Sixty percent of the time,it works every time"
I know where a rifle version is....and cant see owner selling it any time soon...Ive fired hundreds of rounds with it.sheep, possums, hares, rabbits, wallaby goats and even a red stag Ive killed with it.
I have a Winchester 22 model 9422M, with case. In perfect mint condition. Was my Dad's and he looked after it and cleaned it fastidiously. Never got a lot of use, just rabbits occasionally.
Reason for selling is that he has passed away now. Reading comments above sounds like it should be worth around $1800 to $2000? Does this sound about right?
definitely worth that much...finding someone with that much to spend however can be problimatic
75/15/10 black powder matters
If it's an XTR maybe. But if not, probably not a quick sale. Not as many magnums around so that will help.
