    Wrapped scopes

Have recently noticed alot of rifles that have what looks like camo fabric tape wrapped around the scope, barrel and can. Understand wrapping the can to reduce tinny sound when pushing through bush. What am I missing with wrapping the scope?

Deer can't recognize anything wrapped in camo tape. They are very alert for scopes and barrels.......

All my high use scopes are covered with it.
Best and cheapest thing I could find to protect them.
Has nothing to do with being tacti-cool at all. I just like looking after my gear.

Admit it. You're hiding the Gun City scope.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

The reason for the camo tape is so no animal you are hunting can see what you see through.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

I understand wrapping scopes and suppressors, but the number of people who wrap their whole rifle makes my head spin. What is the point of floating a barrel if you then strap it down to the stock with shitty tape to make it look cool?
