    WTF Bubba

So found this gem on Trademe today....
    https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketpl...ing/4410602477

Stripped screw in receiver, bent barrel, barrel looks to have been ground down for scope clearance, and looks like thread tape and an O-ring on the muzzle threads.
Would love to know more about what happened to this rifle.

Lol what a pos. They would have been smarter to pull the barrel and sell the action/stock.

so if its bought and some foll blows head off with warm factory load....will they be liable???? not sold as unusable....guess labeling as a parts gun covers the arse somewhat.... yip agree pull barrel and sell it as parts..... but hey its that "certain retailer" again... cant expect anything better really.

Plumbing tape and O ring on muzzle thread hints at another major fault

It's pretty easy to straighten a bent barrel.

I did a mates 308 barrel massively bent on a quad bike roll over.
Honestly I thought even if I got it straight there would have been out of round.

So first I used the hydraulic press to get it straight enough to see through the bore.
Then moved to the fly press and got it straight to my eye.
Took it to Mr Vulcan Barrels to se if his digitally calibrated eye agreed and yes it was straight.
Went back to mates and shot perfectly and saved a complete rebarrel

So if there was anyone remotely skilled at the retailer it would take less the 5 minutes to straighten a barrel like that

Yup it's rough, but advertised honestly, I really don't see the issue.
Bought plenty of rifles advertised less honestly that weren't through that "certain seller"
Plenty of sub par rifles get passed off as sub moa

They've clarified in the comments that the barrel is also bulged.

I'm not complaining about the right being sold, more interested in the individual who created this monstrosity.
