    Z3 50mm obj on Kimber

Does anyone have one of these scopes on a Kimber in Talley's? Rifle currently has Leupold bases and rings on it and is wearing my little Diavari. I want to do a bit of a scope swap around and go to Talley mounts while I'm at it. Can pull the scope off the Kimber now and measure the leupolds as they are perfect height to run the Z3 (had it on there previously) but I'm trying to avoid having an unsighted rifle in the meantime if I can and can't be bothered going to sight it in again while I wait for the Talley's to arrive. I think I'd get away with mediums?

id say lows would probably do it
I only have 40 and 42mm objectives but there plenty of room

happy to measure the height of the tube above the action if that helps
Iv got both inch and 30mm lows on hand

I had a March 42mm on my 84m Montana. Had 4-5mm under the objective, and it’s a shorter scope with the objective belling out a bit sooner. That was with Talleys mediums, so I’d think you would get away with it.

Short action @Bill999 ? I've got impatient and pulled it to bits now haha but can't find my micrometer to measure the Leupold setup anyhow.

I did find that my zeiss terra 3-9x42 1" tube was very close(too close really) with its 42mm objective with 1" talley low rings because of the scopes bell needing to be back quite far to be in the perfect spot for eye relief

Ended up taking a punt on Talley mediums and they're perfect. Tiny bit of weight saved and they look much sleeker than the two piece leupolds
