    Z3 Swarovski

    Hi guys,

I'm tempted to take the plunge on one of these, but just looking for ideas. I currently have a couple of grand slams, and they do the trick and seem durable, but I have an excuse to burn some dosh and am tempted. Is it worth the $$ over the grand slam (that still works perfectly to be honest)?

Also kicking around the idea of a Leica ER, or even a Nightforce SHV. Ideas?

I have a 4-12x50 z3 with BT caps and on my .308 works a treat. At around $1300-1600 I don't know if it's best bang for the buck. But it's on par if not better then a vx6 2-12x50. My z3 seems to track well and alaways returns to zero. And good for game out to 500yards Name: IMG_1207.JPG

The Z3 is a fantastic scope. Light gathering is better than a VX6, Zeiss HD5, Nightforce, etc. I really rate them for their size and weight. Eye box can be a bit fiddly but should be fine. the 4-12x50 with BT is a fantastic all round scope.

I have one. Amazing glass. Light and cheaper than the top models. I use the BRH reticle https://www.eurooptic.com/PDF/swarov...cle-manual.pdf
Very simple to use and reliable.

I have two Z3's (3-9×42) and after owning a range of different scopes I have to say I'm very happy with them and I have no plans to get rid of them. Initially I was a little reserved on the 4A reticle but after using it for a couple of years I'm a convert - maybe the Europeans are right after all.

Compared to my Leupold VXII I can get another 20 min of hunting time... such is the difference in light gathering ability. I'd love a Z6, but you have to stop somewhere... well, until you win Lotto.

    I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Is it worth the money? Yeah... I think it is. I have several friends who think so too.

    Fill your boots.

I have a Z3 3- 10x42 . Its way better than the leupold vx3 4.5x14x40 i also have. clearer with truer colour during the day , can see into shadowy arears better, way better in half light.
    Not to big and heavy
was only 1 or 2 hundred dearer back then, but i think Z3 has got dearer and VX3 cheaper
now and again you see second hand kahles ,swaros on here or tm

Wish I never sold my one. Had a 4-12x50. Very versatile and light weight scope.

    Thanks guys,

Think I'm convinced. I will likely go the 4-12x50 with the ballistic turret - may as well take the plunge given the $$ difference with the 3-9.

You won't regret it I had a Z3 with 4-A reticle which my son now has and I upgraded to a Z5 they are both awesome I've had an old 3-9 model for 25 years now and still going.

I bought mine here - hand carried it over when I went over on business.

If you can get someone else to ship it over. Its a win.
