Depends what you want the scope for, if you are weighing up the std duplex vs the firedot duplex then the firedot is a huge advantage for getting on target quickly, especially up close, can't see why anyone would get std duplex without the firedot.
If you are considering windplex or impact 29, then obviously the firedot will be lacking some features.

You won't regret it.
Really wish they still offered the firedot windplex as IMO it was the best reticle offered in the VX6.
