    Zeiss ZBR-1 reticle

Has anyone used this reticle before? I’m looking at getting a Zeiss V4 3-12 with the ZBR-1 for my 30/06 build. It looks good to me, but just wondering how it would go under cover in the bush? Anyone used one like that and can verify that the reticle still stands out from a darker background under the canopy?

Personally, any reticle that busy is OTT. A dialable scope only needs some windage marks, eg Swaro 4W

Yeah I feel the same way, but I only have confidence in the turrets of really heavy and expensive scopes. I’m trying to build something reasonably light and trim, but with 500yd capability.

To my way of thinking, the reticle may be a bit ‘busy’ but it will stay put and hold zero

After testing the Delta 1.5 -9 x 45 last weekend I would suggest the 2D reticle as being perfect. It is a thick 4A style with a good big windage dot each side of the centre cross. Has illuminated dot. I found it was very fast to centre on target even cranked up.
