Yep, be interesting to hear how it goes. Great glass for the money and I haven't any trouble with my ED2s, but they will shoot themselves in the foot if they don't improve warranty support.

    I’m still no closer to a resolution…..

After an issue with the post office the binoculars finally arrived and now I’m having difficulty getting a reply form them regarding what’s happening.

However I did receive an email from Zen Ray asking me for a product review…..I don’t think my review will get published on their webpage!

Would I recommend Zen Ray to others?

NO! Their warranty service isn’t worth a pinch of goat shit.

I have posted here about the issue. I would make your case here too. Its a popular USA forum where they visit from time to time to promote their products.

    Thanks Digit,

It disappointing that one has to go to such effort in order to get adequate after sales service. If Zen Ray doesn’t want to honour the warranty for overseas customers then they should state that on their web page. Instead they lure potential customers into a false sense of security by promoting their ‘excellent’ warranty service.

I should sign up and post my experience but fear it may be detrimental to my chances in resolving this. If you are currently liaising with Charles then feel free to pass on my details or even a link to this thread and make him aware that it has been almost 3 weeks now and still no reply……

    Cheers,
    Hayden

That sucks HC. I do hope you you get a positive outcome. I've had a pair for 3 years and love them. Touch wood they last a few more.

24hour campfire is also worth posting on as they are on that forum. I think you should e-mail them and tell them you are about to post bad reviews before actually doing it. It gives them (another) chance to come to the party.

It's pretty shit. Thanks to Digit for helping me with my warranty dramas but it took a year and some angry e-mails from both of us. You won't get anywhere if you don't nag them.

The focus when coming off is fairly common. Might be simpler to just glue the knob back on yourself.

It’s not a simple fix unfortunately as the internal adjustment ring is broken in a few places.

I guess I'm going to have to buy a set of vortex viper HD to get me through some summer hunting as I cant afford the top end euro brands right now.

Nikon Monarch might be worth a look too?

Well this has taken an unexpected twist when a new set of Prime HD’s showed up to replace the ED3’s this morning.

So despite the time and frustration involved it is a positive outcome in the end.

This bit of advice was gold.

Glad you had a good result. I have a set of Primes I have been very happy with, and if necessary, would have happily replaced them with the same again, until reading this thread anyway. It is a bit rough to be without them for three months, and have to threaten them to get any action from them.
