It sure is, you can sit up high and see so many different things, not just game animals!

We started out trips down there sleeping by the State Highway/rail line. We’ve refined our trips over the years and now stay in a motel unit in town! A bit soft but makes for a great nights sleep and a great feed. The only trouble is that you get back to Kaikoura very late at night, luckily there’s a great fish and chip shop open until midnight!

We keep saying, next time we’ll camp up on the hill... we used t do that. ��
