    1st blood for the boy with the .308

    After a doing the hard yards on a couple of fruitless over night deer missions lately, the aim for the long weekend was find some goats to give my oldest ( Arlo 8) an option of shooting one now his arms are long enough to get set up properly on the .308. A family drive up the back of the in-laws provided the opportunity.

    One delighted boy and the start of an era I feel. Pretty happy when he stated he did feel a bit sorry for the goats tho, nothing wrong with a bit of empathy and respect I reckon.

    Any way with a couple of meat animals harvested the DPT had done its job as billy comes walking round the corner 10 minutes later to join the party ...... one for dad ( well I gotta keep my eye in too. . )

    @Phil_H Thanks

    Probably not the load as it’s standard Federal 150gr blue box but more the DPT magnum suppressor that has softened and quietened it.
    He has his own .410 also in youth stock which has helped his confidence and handling a lot.

    Awesome, I'm looking forward to getting my boys and nephews out next. After the roar quietens down for sure. My 5year old has shot my 308, 7mmrm, and 300wm.
