@Brian and I were together so it was great being able to share the load. Brian shot one too.
You are a machine @Tahr I wish I could get out as often as you.

@25/08 IMP its a function of age - its been a long wait and Ive paid my penance plus in hard work (from my perspective, anyway). Ive got the time now. 2 beautiful lads who are now well grown up. Wife who accepts its what I got to do. Only working part time now which is flexible and that pays for costs and a few extras. I don't always get the balance right - having been on my own for quite a while probably made me a bit selfish. Of course if I re-balance it doesn't mean I will compromise my hunting. See. Selfish.

Im also scared stiff of not being able to hunt. Which will come. So I push myself to stay active.

    I've seen an almost-3 for 1.

Hunting Fallow in the Parapara's a young guy with a Weatherby (aka Howa) 243. Bullet went through the first fallows neck, cutting its throat - it bleed quickly and fell over about 30m away. The pill went through a 2nd fallows neck and hit the spine, it dropped on the spot. It continued on and through a 3rd fallows front leg - that one took off and managed to disappear over a ridge.

@Norway Winter here at the moment. In the summer I carry water for her and keep her hydrated. And she sheds her winter coat and is a lot less hairy in the summer.
