While not a great anecdote as it stands, appreciate the intent

I bet the mud was frozen and your accommodation freezing. Great place is that.

At least its a genuine hunting thread (short story category) as opposed to the endless political drivel . . . .

Before the rain set on got a couple for dog food and some firewood

It was wet for the first 3 days made for some hard hunting
Slave my little Jack Russell bailed and stopped the big billy the goat was wounded slave tracked found it then bailed it pulled it down he is probably going to be the best hunting dog I have ever had
    Another one bailed

The rain stopped to some clear very cool weather got to look after the rest of the team at night
Slave get to share my swag woke one morning to -4 little crisp I had to cross the creek a few times the day before boots chaps pants all froze solid
    Thawing stuff out

It was a awesome trip the dogs and I ended up with 52 goats shot and bailed

Ha ha old spook pretty good considering he turned 13 in may make sure I wrap him in a poler fleece blanket at night and he has his coat on but when we are doing goats you can see him getting frustrated he’s slowing down and all his teeth are just about gone so he can’t grab them like he use to our time together is diffently running out
