Thread: At it again...

You can't keep boys' and their dogs' on the porch for too long...so on Tuesday we were out again.

We shot these 2 at 375 and 400 yards. The hind was laying facing us (we thought she was a bit younger). We used the synchronised swimming technique and both fired at once. We were at different angles. Mine was the neck, Brian front of the shoulder (and you can see the exit). At the shot 3 others bolted and I shot a yearling lower in the chest.

We let Brian's young dog Zeb do the find up through the scrub and into the open and he did a good job

The carry home was hell and we mucked up at a creek junction so didn't get back to the hut until 1am. We slept in the next morning!

The day after (yesterday) I was up at 4am to drive up country to help a friend with docking for the day. Home last night at 9pm after that, so I'm a sore and tired old fart at the moment. Brian reports that he's feeling like a spring chicken and says he is ready to have another go. Bugger....
