She is usually quite keen, although I have noticed that fitness is important. If she is not so fit she seems to lose her edge a bit. And the heat takes the edge off her too. But she has never refused to look.
I have found that if she is not keen when I get to where a dead or alive deer should be, and I have to push her, there just simply isn't anything for her to wind or smell. That usually means a clean miss by me![]()
