    Arthurs pass overnighter

Decided it was time to ecplore some new places. This was my 2nd hunt down here since moving down. Plan was to go friday night but didn't end up happening. Saturday rolled round I thought I better do something so ended up leaving chch at 2.00 with a few spots in mind.
Some of the crap I took

Didn't take tge cooker as water was going to be an issue
There were so many people up there and pulled out of my original plan and just found a likely looking spot and hit it from the side of the road.
After a gutbuster over some sketchy areas I hit the tops at 7pm.

Saw fark all, wind had picked up and was blowing a gale all night.

Ended up carrying along the ridge in the morning and saw chamois within 30mins. 1158 yards the geovids read, much further than I have managed previously so I was happy with that.

Closed the gap to 410yards and polaxed a nanny with the wsm. Very happy with terminal performance from the amax, was quite impressive.

Saw maybe 10-12 animals which was good but nothing much in the horn department.

    Few pics

Choice one. Off topic a bit, but how long would one of those primer power cookers last for in terms of cooking times? Would it last say 6 hours total on medium-high heat?

    Well done.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Any creek was going to be as good as any other as I had never been up there. Good to find a spot with animals on my first trip
