I know you don't want another dog but 252 deer with one dog would surely make a side job of training dogs viable?

Good write up mate, shame about Tilly, Im sure she'll have a very relaxed and pampered retirement. Going through a similar thing with our old boy not easy at all.

Sorry to hear about Tilly. It must be tough. At least you have had 13 good years with her. Hopefully a couple more

Well done Brian, great effort there.

And same to you Tilly, what a good girl. Heart and mind stronger than the frame they were put in. Tahr, very saddening to read this story. Thanks for sharing this and all the other delightful stories about your and Tilly's adventures, I have always enjoyed reading them... this one not quite as much. I'm sure she'll be getting some well-earned pampering henceforth.

Can't like your post Tahr because of the poor old Tillster I really hope she comes right for a bit to enjoy the hugs and cuddles at home being spoilt.

That's a good trick getting Brian to shoot the stump although I'm sure it wasn't on purpose
At least he scored a great head after all that slogging up and down the hills.

Best of luck for you and Tilly at this difficult time mate

Thanks @rugerman The vet has just rung. She is back on her paws but is weak. Has been to the toilet. All going well she will be home tomorrow for some love and convalescence and then hopefully some back yard retirement

Great news she is supporting herself Tahr. If you can find a pool that is deeper than she is tall, gentle walking almost out of her depth can help with the rehad since her weight is supported by the water. A bit like people who do the aqua aerobics idea. Hydrotherapy I think they call it.
