Brian’s stag is a cracker, I’d be stoked to get a red stag like that.
Thanks. Ive only ever counted the deer that I have shot myself and she has indicated them, found or been there. There's maybe another 100 that she has been in on and helped that I didn't actually shoot but someone else has.

That stag was the best one we have pulled out of there or seen from there. Big creds to Brian. He puts in the hard yard yards and has a lot of patience.

That's terrible news, hard to like a story like that. Man you and her have slayed some deer which equals some memories!

Poor old Tilly what a life she has had though, I remember the 1st time she came to Brians and I made a fuss of her, you told me off as she was a hunting dog not to be moddle cuddled and then you spoilt her from then on you big softie.

Congratulations Brian - that is a cracker.

Tilly - here is to getting fat and lazy in the sun. My old girl has just hit 15 and had her last hunt, so I can appreciate the thoughts running through your head - now is a time for a lot of love and treats. Here is to a happy retirement for the beautiful girl.

Update on Tilly. I brought her home from the vet this morning.

4 weeks rest and drugs and then a re-assessment.

She's very happy to be home and Im happy to have her back. She's dragging her legs a bit but can walk and is reasonably mobile. Time will tell but at least in the mean time she and I can sit in the sun in the back yard and yarn about the good old days.

Thanks for all of the messages about her well being.

    Great news Bruce
One thing to watch for is once the pain meds kick in, she might be tempted to leap about a bit which can cause a reoccurrence of the back problems. I know when my girl had her first cruciate ligament done, if I got up quick to go outside she would try to follow just as fast. It's hard to keep a good dog down

Good advice. She is confined to a small area and one of her drugs is a mild sedative (I find them a bit bitter tasting ).
