    Genuine question. Being a Doc initiative was the flights in paid for by them? And if so was there any kind of encouragement from Doc to employ the “if it’s brown it’s down” mindset?

    One of the main initiatives was allowing helicopter access as that area can normally only be accessed by walking in.
    There are no concessions to land in the Nelson Lakes NP.

    This is an fantastic initiative. Hunters get to hunt, the Heli operators get business and DoC get the deer/chamois numbers reduced. WIN/WIN/WIN.

    That last photo should be used as a base for a painting, or printed off in black and white and hung in a man shed. What a epic example of generations on the hill, simply priceless
