    Boys weekend

Well having to head upto neslon to drop some bits off an look at a couple of jobs an fix a wee fark up also form another worker, i thought would be good to take the young fella an give the wife a brake form the terrible to, so loaded up an out of work by arvo smoko, home to load up an get the kyro an good bye to mum an we where away. Had all the snacks an toys ready for the 3hour ish drive up.

With kyro been in thr front as back was full there was no power nap this trip, as he could see everything!!!! there was yelling an telling stories dribbles an rasbery blowing whole way there not to mention all the bloody DIGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! an not 1 slipped by un noticed.

Getting there later than normal bed time but no where near going to bed we popped up an some game cams around in good areas to get some photos, called it a night an someone was put to bed still happy as anything.

Next day we kicked around olds fed out to the cows fixed coulpe things for old man, went down dropped off the things i had to went to fix other job an it had just come right anyway so that was me over an done work wise, then was visiting to do to the normal people sister an gran an into sneeze place to drop some bits an pick up some more
(an forgot to drop off veitmancam bits Sorry mate!! just seen them before oops well traveled)

Back up to olds at 70k an the long way, since he had fallen asleep so thought would get a bit more.
Then was to get home an ready to go for a quick look for red skin with kyro old man an the brother as there was a few getting around
Seen a nice velvety with coulpe of hines so it was decided the shot should be done, set dad up on it got him ready with the 6.5 he got in behind an let one go, i called hit through the binos but a little low on the stag its went 5m across hill an stood behind a bush could see its bum an thats it, so we swapped an as soon as i got in behind, it popped out an he was looking at wrong bush. But said for me to shoot instead of swapping back, the shot was sent up the hill an got it right in middle of shoulder an it stayed down this time.

After i went for a wonder to retreve the animal, wee man didnt like me going up the hill an leaving him with grandad but a little treat he was away an grandad was getting a trip around down by the ute an the brother was coming with me to help with the trip down, done the deed nice a fast an where on was back, we seen another 4 other side of the river about 300m from the truck where dad an kyro where playing away. Had enough so just watched them an let them be, camera was forgotten so have no phots of where we where of shot etc, shot was taken an 782m 19 degress up hill with the wee 140gr 6.5-300wsm.

today we got cameras with not a heap of action but still something, an brother an his mate checking one out when out pig hunting on the saturday morning an 2 other guys poaching in another area with nice photo in the cam busted an not the first time either

    few pics as follows

Sweet experience for the lad, I am not sure who gets the bigger kick though... Dad seeing the kids out and about or the kids being out

I had my Daughter out there amongst it as well, great to see you doing the same. Make the most of it they grow up sooooo fast

Wont be long and she will have her firearms license and Dad wont be invited (I will be along if she likes it or not )

Yep. Will hopefully blood it tomorrow. May not take the boy now as has changed to a morning hunt. But will get him out before Christmas.
